My name is Grahame,
I'm a fully qualified instructor having been trained by BSM and I have 15 years
of driving experience. I appreciate
that driving for the first few times can be nerve racking but my aim is to make
it as stress-free as possible. Safety is always a top priority, mine, yours and
everybody else's. I am a very patient
instructor and have found that people learn more quickly when they are in a
relaxed atmosphere with clear rules. Not everybody learns in the same way, or
needs the same level of support so I modify my training technique to what is
best suited to you. I will provide the necessary support to enable the training
to be absorbed by you, in order to help you achieve your goal - your full
driving license! Learner drivers spend
many hours with their instructor and I always encourage feedback so that I
continually improve and modify my teaching methods to suit the way you like to
learn. I can pick you up from home,
work, school or wherever, but we will always go to somewhere away from the
traffic for the first few lessons. There will be no other pupils in the car
during your lesson. If you have a car that you can practice in, the person who
accompanies you can come out on a lesson if they like. This will help if there
is a particular skill that you need to concentrate more on. The car has dual-controls fitted but they will only be
used as a last resort if assistance is needed or if a dangerous situation
arises. The car is a Vauxhall Corsa
1.3 cdti. It has many benefits which will help you on your lessons, i.e. good
all round visibility, power steering which has been up-rated for driving
instruction. You should find it very easy to drive. I became a driving instructor because I wanted a job
with real satisfaction and there is nothing better than seeing someone pass
their test first time. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive
as possible. Now please feel free to
peruse our website and should you have any questions please feel free to ring
or e-mail. All the contact details are on the Contact Us page.
Facts about
Driving School Instructors - they are not all the same!
FULLY QUALIFIED DSA
APPROVED INSTRUCTOR Every potential
driving instructor will be required to take 3 examinations; you get 3 chances
on each part to pass.
Part 1 is an advanced theory test,
Part 2 is an advanced driving test,
and
Part 3 is a test of teaching
ability.
It is
possible for a potential instructor to take parts 1 and 2 of the test, and then
apply for a Trainee Licence (also known as a Pink Licence). They are then able
to teach pupils, often charging full price, even though they haven't taken or
passed the Part 3 exam. Many driving schools use instructors with Trainee
Licences.
I have passed all 3 examinations
at the first time of asking on each part and I am registered as an Approved
Driving Instructor (ADI).I am also registered to give Pass Plus after you have
passed your test.
